The robust turnstile Kentaur FTS-E05 is especially suitable for securing the perimeter of buildings and property. The end point locking system developed by dormakaba prevents people from being trapped in the gates. The quiet low-energy drive consumes very little energy and adapts to the speed of the person entering.
120° rotating unit: Ø 89 mm tubular column each with 11 Ø 40 mm bar-shaped crossbars made of hot-dip galvanised steel with black plastic covering caps.
Passage limitation through steel frame with filled rods, metal housing with front plate for reader installation and reserved space for installations.
The contractor supplies an auditable static calculation (load: 1.0 kN/m) with foundation information. Manufacturer qualification specifications according to DIN 18800-7. Connection available for earth strip provided by the customer on both portal posts.
Finish:
- Hot-dip galvanised passage limitation and blocking element.
- Stainless steel glossy rotating unit.
Function:
Aggregate type 1.2: Movement of the rotating unit is manual; the exit direction is electrically controlled, the entry direction is blocked. A rotary cycle is released by a floating contact of the customer (e.g. card reader).
Aggregate type 2: The turnstile is equipped with a 1.6 joule limited low energy SK-M servo positioning drive for automatic access control and active locking. The selected rotation direction is released for a rotary cycle by a floating signal initiated by the customer in the direction of entry or exit. The rotary motion is started by manually pushing the turnstile. The rotating unit is then automatically turned by a motor to the next home position and locks. If no one passes through the turnstile within an adjustable period of time, the release is cancelled. The behaviour of the end point locking in the event of a power failure can be freely selected. Standard setting: blocked in entry direction, free rotation in exit direction.
Personal safety through patented end point locking:
Following a release, the turnstile can be stopped and rotated back at any time up to half way through the rotary motion. This prevents trapping of body parts and carried objects. Once the turnstile has completed half of its rotary motion, the unit can only be exited in the released direction.
MCBF (mean cycles between failure) is 4 million.
