The standing seam technique of VM Building Solutions, is particularly suitable for very large facade surfaces and for structures located in regions of harsh climate, which are often subject to strong winds, heavy rain and snowfall (mountain or continental climate).
The low height of the seams (25 or 32 mm) contributes to the modernity, lightness and regularity of the facade, while highlighting its architectural purpose. When dealing with more complex designs this system presents a more technologically advanced appearance.
Key advantages:
Traditional system widely used throughout the world,
Flexibility and discreet joints making it suitable for every architectural design,
Maximum wind resistance,
Fast and easy installation making it a cost effective solution.
Surface aspects: Natural Zinc / Bilaquered Zinc/ QUARTZ-ZINC / ANTHRA-ZINC / PIGMENTO / AZENGAR_Perforation on demand.
Areas of application:
All types of façade surfaces.
All shapes: flat, curved, concave, convex, conical, domes.
Support
The support must be :
- Rigid and continuous.
- Meet loading requirements in conformity with a minimum pull out strength of 50 daN for each clip.
- Rest on at least 3 bearing structure elements.
- Have no protruding elements on the support.
Installation:
Lay in long sheets up to 4 m vertically and 6 m horizontally.
Finishe joint: Height 25 mm, thikness 5 mm
Fixing:
Fixed and sliding stainless steel legs (type VMZINC), type 1, placed every 33 cm and crimped with statements from the cladding tanks.
Weather conditions : All regions wind
Packaging:
Profile rollers or performed strips on request.
The choice by a professional of a VMZINC product adapted to the environment of a building must integrate the possible constraints of use according to the aspect of surface considered. Each aspect of zinc surface can evolve in time differently depending on the type of environment (seaside, high UV exposure, snow, etc.) and according to the applications (cover, facade, rain evacuation).
The use of the chosen aspect may not be suitable for certain applications in the context of very aggressive environmental constraints
If your project is higher than 30 meters and/or if it is in an area where wind speed is higher than 170 km/h once a year, please consult VM Building Solutions.
